7th Sky in the Heaven : Faking News is growing day by day, the global reach of this satire news website leapt forward by miles when our journalist managed to break in the heaven’s door for an exclusive interview with Nibhaya aka Damini aka Amanat.
Nirbhaya , Cheerful and Lively in Heaven .
The goddess in the human form seemed quite happy in the company of Angels and other Godly creatures, her will-power and courage was evident even after going through such a terrible experience.
She was frank and spoke her heart out about the atrocities and how she managed to leave the world with a big smile . Here is a part of the conversation :
Reporter : Hello, First of all a big salute to you Ma’am !
Nirbhaya : Thank you so much.
Reporter : Can you talk about it all , Can I ask questions ?
Nirbhaya : I battled it through 14 days , do you think I don’t have such a little bit of courage to just answer your questions ?
Reporter : Sorry, Okay so how does it feel. I mean you heard the revolution you gave birth to right ?
Nirbhaya : Oh Yes , I did indeed . The media in here is pretty active too ( Chuckles ) . It is great , the way youth gathered seeking justice in front of Rashtrapati Bhavan was really an emotional moment for me .
Reporter : You saw some change in the society ?
Nirbhaya : Well , The sales of Pepper Spray has sure gone up Haha . Apart from it , unfortunately nothing good has come . There are many cases of Rapes being reported even after my tragedy , the Police is clueless , the Politicians fart out stupid statements , the People still think it was my mistake in the first place by roaming around late at Night .
Reporter : Do you think your Plight was being used for Politics as well ?
Nirbhaya : Don’t say it “Plight” , those animals attacked me and I resisted pretty well , I guess .
And yes , those People do crazy stuff for their position . But the one thing I enjoyed immensely was the Arnab Goswami confrontation of Abhijeet Mukhrji about the Dented and Painted Women .
Reporter : You heard about the Suicide of Ram Singh ?
Nirbhaya : I told you before also , India TV’s TRP consists of folks from Heaven too , but yeah there is no Stairs to here :p .
He was a coward Man , Well , I should say a Woman , actually ohh wait definitely a eunuch . He got away pretty easy , I wished he was to be burned alive . Not as my revenge but to establish a fear of law in the minds of Criminals .
But yeah , I would send a message to the Devil to be prepared with an Iron Rod instead of a Vessel of Burning Lava and a Whip .
Reporter : Any views about the Juvenile ?
Nirbhaya : That was the most evolved animal of those men , Sure he might not have the age of 18 but if he can do it then he must also bear it .
Reporter : Heard about your Result ?
Nirbhaya : Ohh Yes , It is good . Sorry Papa wanted to make you Proud and be a successful Doctor  but it wasn’t meant to be .
Reporter : Your Dad also is a man of steel Nerves .
Nirbhaya : Of course , where do you thing I got my strength from huh ?
Reporter : Any message for the Girls of Delhi ?
Nirbhaya : Girls be safe , stay on your toes all the time . I am not saying to run away , just be prepared , you can’t trust anybody here . Sure , “Don’t teach your Daughter how to Dress , teach your Son how to behave” make a very good status , but the ground reality is that you are not going to see a change in the mindset for at least a generation or so .
Reporter : This Women’s Day , US awarded you for your Courage . How does it feel ?
Nirbhaya : Well , Feels great . Being an inspiration for so many girls who live in a scared state of mind is a big thing . In a male dominated society I got a treatment next to God , the only bummer was that it was after my Rape .
Reporter : Thak you so much for giving us your time .
Nirbhaya : It okay . I am enjoying my time here , no worries no rush . Soon I will be back there , Would urge God to send me back to India , hope so this time the Country would treat me better , treat like human when I live .
Reporter : Any message for your Family ?
Nirbhaya : Mommy Daddy and my Cute Bhai , I love you all . The way we were separated was really tragic but I made you Proud right ? I would try to come back in the family , I would convince god to do so ;) . Miss me , Love You .
And to the rest of the world , I am not a Victim . I am a fighter , a Martyr . I should live in your heart till the doomsday comes . Treat girls right , No privilege , just be human with them .
*Intended to send a message , Sorry If Hurts Anybody*

The Hills have Ice

"Arey yaar iss saal New Year Goa mein hi manayenge" was the consensus on 20th December, so we finally executed the plan..... and it was a trip to Manali in March end.

You must have guessed it by now that it is a travel blog yet again. Summarizing it even further, this is the 6 day experience of our trip to Manali-Solang-Dharamshala-Maclodganj.

Preface

We booked a tempo-traveler for the whole trip. The 14 seater vehicle served as a second home for us for the following 6 days. However the driver we got stuck with wasn't that easy to go down the throat. The right description would be the character Nana Patekar played in Taxi No. 9-2-11, the man was a live version of that irritating frustrated character. Even though we managed to find out a fun way to deal with him, he deserved a special acknowledgment in this blog.

The Satan - Mr. Tiwari
Day 1

The plan was to leave Delhi by 1 PM atmost and we left by 6 PM (Trust me, still good enough). The energy level were soaring high at this time. After couple of "Baby Doll", "Saree Ke Fall Sa", "Gandi Baat", "London Thumkada", "Palat" and "Chaar Botal Vodka" we started settling.

The journey went smooth for some hours but then came the whirlpool of roads. Soon the excitement was overshadowed by the sour clouds of expected vomiting and nausea. The joyful ambiance was soon replaced by the scene of a epidemic hit village, where few healthy were taking care of others.  The night went by with vomiting & tea breaks.

Day 2

After the suffering (English wala Suffering) of day one we were in Manali. The worn out spirits were once again rejuvenated after seeing the snow covered mountains and the aesthetic beauty of the place. The first thing we did was finding a nice hotel and getting ready after the crazy last night. It was a lazy day and we could only get out of our room in the late afternoon. We went shopping and visited some nearby temples and stuff.
Night in Manali
Day 3

The third day and undoubtedly the most eventful day started early for us. After setting a target of starting the journey to Solang by 7 AM we could only manage to get rolling by 10. (For those of you who are not familiar with Solang stop for a while and Google the place for some images) The idea was to play in the snow for whole day long. Being from Delhi we weren't equipped for the harsh weather that the snow would offer, so we rented a full proof winter gear for everyone.

After a 20 minute tipsy drive we were there .. yes, ON THE SNOW ! Most of us were experiencing Snow for the first time (Excluding the Freezer's Snow) so the excitement was quite justified. The snowball fights started in no time and soon the friendship turned into playful rivalry. The time went by at Bolt's pace and we realized its been 3 long hours since we were doing the snow war.

Playing in the snow

Just then some Parachutes at a distance caught our eye and came an instant suggestion, " Chalo Paragliding karenge". The idea was fascinating but could only muster up 5 people out of the total 12. The setup was scary, the majestic mountains all around and jumping from almost clouds onto the ground was sending chills down everybody's spine. Chanting the overused "Darr Ke Aaage Jeet Hai" slogan we went ahead.

The jumping spot was on around 30K Feet.we had to use a rope-way for half the distance and walk on thin slippery ice for the rest half. After around 30 minutes of struggle we reached the starting point. As the instructor was tying the parachute on me I asked, "Any Instructions?". "Run .. Keep Running and Jump" he said in a monotonous tone.

So I ran .. and soon I was a bird ! The most amazing feeling a human can ever get , TO FLY ! (the 2nd most technically ;), you know the first one) The view from above was just heavenly, the hills .. the snow .. the tall tress .. all were looking small to us. The beauty and ambiance kidnapped the fear for a while. It was the 5 minutes of ultimate freedom.

View from the top

Now we were done with all the adventure activities the local business people were offering, so now we created our own adventure. We climbed a snow covered mountain that must be of the height of a 8 to 10 story building and started sliding off it .. Trust me, I had never experienced so much of fun and excitement even on a ride of an amusement park. *Would soon upload a video of it*

After spending almost 12 hours in the cold harsh snow we decided to head back to hotel as the temperature was dipping ruthlessly. We had ice in our boots, gloves and thanks to the pranks I had some in my private parts too.

"Chalo tumhe aaj uss hotel le chalta hoon jahan main rukta hoon" said the Satan driver of ours. We were all a bit skeptical, "Yaar jahan ye rukta hai wahan !" but we decided to not reject him on the face and said "Ha chalo dekhte hai".

After around 30 minutes of his horrifying driving we were in front of the hotel *The grandest and best hotel we stayed in the entire trip* Huge rooms, Changing room, Lavish bathrooms with bath tubs, a mammoth LCD on the wall and what not ! The India vs Australia match was an icing on the cake. Watching the match, eating snacks, playing bluff and uno the time flew away and it was around 2 am again.
*FYI - We just slept for 15 hours in the entire trip*

Day 4

I have no clue what happened this day ! No wasn't a dope effect but this day ended pretty quickly. We kept travelling, stopped at the places that were looking nice, captured a zillion photographs and again started travelling.

The day ended at 10 PM when we reached our hotel in Dharamshala.

The balcony of the hotel

Wait .. just the Day ended, the Night was young. As soon as the clock struck midnight, April Fool's Day began. We had to pull out a prank, I don't have the scope the express it in details but the bottomline is we were pretty successful in scaring the shit out of one of us *Taking his name would get me in trouble*, Special thanks to Varsha and her talent of looking like a ghost when needed.

Day 5

This day was the best in terms of action. We went many places. Firstly it was the waterfall of Mclodganj. Heavy vehicles were not allowed to go till the spot so we had to walk 3 KMs .. sounds draining but the aesthetics were dominant enough to not make us feel tired.

The water was freezing but still we went inside and had fun for a good one hour.

Chilled waterfall

Next we went for a spiritual shower in the nearby Buddhist temple and also got the previlage to see Dalai Lama (Haina, Vivek ?). The peace at the temple was amazing and we finally got to rotate those cylindrical pipes, feels good.

Next on our itinerary was the most beautiful cricket stadium of India and definitely one of the best in the world. We had some problems at first but after liaising with the guard, he let us in.

The day was nearing an end .. we stopped at places that attracted us. And after a while the sad declaration came by, "Chalo abb Back to Delhi". The words went like a bullet through her hearts *Even Sanket couldn't stop this by his hand*.

It was late at night, we were evaluating the trip and getting sad by the fact that "Kal se saala sab boring". Even the Peppy item numbers were replaced by sad senti songs *Special mention to Madari - Vishal Dadlani ft. Clinton Cejero*. We were scheduled to reach Delhi by 8 AM.

Day 6

This day was supposed to be the shortest .. but wait, God had different plans. At 5 AM we hear a thumping noise and the Amitabh Bacchan voice of the tempo-traveller was replaced by the meek voice of Tusshar Kapoor. The vehicle got borke down in the middle of the highway.

One hour passed .. Another one gone .. Yet another one ran past us but there was no sign of maintenance. We all were getting desperate and restless at the start. But after a while we accepted our fate and were relieved *Found a washroom at nearby Petrol Pump*. Everyone was still upset but one of us was excited for reasons not to be told in public.

En-route Delhi

Finally, the vehicle was up and running at around 12 PM. We were still 160 KMs away from Delhi. We had a last lunch together and then finally sat in again for the actual last leg of the trip. We were all home by 6 PM.

Conclusion

The 6 days went past us like 6 hours but breaks should be like that only. We were all caught in the daily madness and rush of Delhi, spending time together with friends at a place like that is really one should do once every year. If you haven't ..

Demystifying Bhangarh, the Haunted Fort.

One of the most infamous place for the supernatural experiences, Bhangarh is a place near Dausa a remote village of Rajasthan. For all of those who don't know me, I would like to establish some credibility for my post so .. I am a journalism student and we planned to visit Bhangarh on a Amavasya Ki Raat to decode the things said about that place. I am not from the Tourism Department of Rajasthan so you can trust on my experiences and facts that I present to you. Not to pat on my own back , but this could be the most objective experience of Bhangarh.

Bhangarh Fort

We forgot to take a DSLR , so the pictures won't be saying the 1000 words which I wanted to tell , manage please. Also I never proof-read so manage my grammatical errors and typos !

Planning and Logistics

I got to know about Bhangarh when I was in first year of my college and wanted to go their as soon as possible, so finally went there .... In the final year year of my college. The Google maps show a distance of 240 Kms from Delhi to the 'land of Ghosts'.

We were six friends and unfortunately the car we had that day was a five seater, a special thanks to the Winters for making the trip bearable. We got aboard on set sail around 5 PM. *Still a car , not a boat*

The Journey

It was just like a normal night-out-drive on NH-8 but the unusual started when we took a less traveled cut towards Bhangarh leaving the comfort of a National Highway and heading towards a road with tall pointy grass on both sides .. not to forget the occasional bumps that fished for phrases like "oo Bhencho" "Saale Aandha hai kya " and "Yaar wapas ghar bhi jana hai".

Enroute Bhangarh

As we inched closer to the destination the path shrinked and worsened, a road where you cannot drive at a speed more than 10 Km/hr. We were not scared of the Ghosts as of now but the thought of a robbery , a gang of Dacoits were giving us enough thrill. A special momento to the farmer who crossed the road with his huge Camel and made us stop our car. *Making us suspicious about his intentions and yes crapping our pants too*.  In the way we saw many unusual things like Dogs, Sign Boards, Reflectors etc .. Everything was looking scary to sum up I would quote myself from that moment "Saala Delhi mein Chudail bhi saamne aa jaye to bologe marna hai kya ? Hatt samne se .. and yahan har cheez ko Chudail samajh rahe hai".

With the help of an experienced Smartphone, being the only one who knew the way he reached our destination and he reached his i.e "Battry Low, Connect Charger".

"Chale Kya ? .. Ruko Saalo" Moments

So we were in front of the humongous fort gate .. No fucking trace of lights ! Fogs on our window, Car lights off and the debate started, "Kya Kare Abb". We never did this kind of serious discussion for even our college assignments but this was special. Finally, we gathered some courage and opened the car gates .. It was ok , not much to fear from.

It was 20 seconds .. We hear a howl and a drizzle comes out of nowhere ... trust me It would have been the world record for the fastest time 6 boys gets into a Swift. A bit too embarassed but I latched on my friend on the first seat like Shaggy used to on Scooby Doo *Seriously , Exactly the same*.

Dausa

We decided to go back a bit . There was this Chaiwalla *Anil Kapoor has ruined the word* 6 kms away from the fort and there was civilization. *This place was very crucial for us , we would come back here again later in the story*. We decided to talk to the locals just like they do in a horror movie and to our surprise they replied as they do in horror movie. "Aage mat jana saab .. acha nahi hoga" was the very first suggestion, however we sat there had Chai and Sutta and started conversing with them. Thier point was rational "Bhoot woot ka pata nahi par jungali janwar zaroor milte hai aage .. Wo maar dete hai logo ko aur naam bhoot pe aa jata hai". This statement fueled courage in all of us and the mutual consense was to go immediately back in the fort.

First Experience

So in 10 Minutes we were again in front of the fort .. bit more confident.

Gates are closed after Sunset

As soon as we turned the engine off one of us said "BC .. Handbreak chod" the driver *Not actually a driver* said he didn't do anything .. he felt the car moving towards the gate .. soon did another one .. then I did and then did the fourth one , Coincidence ? Out of the Six of us 4 felt that , the only to not to experience that was a guy who was sleeping at the back seat and the guy who was driving the car and checking how much diesel was left.

The friend who was at the driver seat obviously thought we were kidding and refused to go back this time .. however after a couple of "Maa Kasam bhai" and "Chal Nahi to teri maa ***" he finally reversed the car , for the second time !

The safe base camp that was 6 Kms ago was our hault again .. This time we saw a Policeman. We talked about the fort he said "Agar Zada hi shauk hai Bhoot dekhne ka to main raasta btata hoon andar jaane ka .. Kile ke darwaze to 5 baje tak khulenge".

In hesitation we were going to say "Rhene Do Bhai" but the braveass driver , the friend who didn't feel anything yet, said "Haa Uncle btao jaldi". You gotta appreciate his convincing skill and the influence of his was much more that Kejriwal and Modi combined .. You don't easily convince 5 people to go back in the worlds top haunted fort that has the reputation of "Those who goes after Sunset never comes back" *Check Google*.

Here is the audio , mind the gaalis.
And the time was fictitious in this.

*Sorry Right now I am not able to upload it , would notify you after updating*

Doing Chutiyap   Going in the Fort

We sneaked in , I cannot believe I was that brave and stupid to that just the another night. Each step was as heavy and small as we take exiting a crowed metro at Rajiv Chwok. I thoght I was an atheist but then I chanted "Jai Siya Ram" we murmured it after every "strange noise".

I don't know what was it, but we heard
1) Howls.
2) Strange animal noises.
3) Women Laughing (YES, very far away but yes we did)
4) A friend saying "Wapas Chalo Saalo , Subah Aayenge"
FYI, The last one was me.

But we continued exploring the place , which we cannot stay at all. I never felt so much gratitude for the Flashlight App on Android , it was the only thing from which we could see whats ahead.

Bhangarh Fort

Every person makes mistake , we were six .. so there was one for each one

1) Me : Planning the Trip.
2) Sanket : Forgetting the DSLR
3) Zishaan : Taking us in.
4) Ajay : Not Taking any Torches.
5) Akhil : Eating all we had.
6) Sagar : No baseball bats or Sticks.

The ones that hurt us deeply were Sanket and Ajay and Sagar's.

In case a wild animal attacks we would first move the 5 inch mobile in all direction to know its location and then throw small pebbles we picked on the way in after hearing the noises. *C'mon Salute Us*

The Four Hours in the Fort.

I never wished to see the sun so desperately, it was very dark and we walking in an unknown place. However by God's grace we didn't had any encounter with wild animals and those laughing women.
The four hours felt like forty but then finally the morning arrived.

We were alive ! We did it. *Next Bharat Ratna for us*

Now the place looked entirely different , the haunted was replaced by amazing , beautiful , magnificent. The place was so aesthetic that I cannot find words to describe it.

Bhangarh Fort Haunted

Moral

There is no such thing as Ghosts, Sorry if you read this just before your trip but it is true. The experiences we had must have been the hallucination of our mind following the stories of the place. But the noises and the experiences were true. May be we were just lucky and there are Ghosts .. Who Knows !

But , Bhangarh is a "must go before you die" place for sure.

Plan a trip , conquer your curiosity.

Power .. Politics : Transformation of 4 Days.

It was the Delhi election day, every morning chill was just settling down. I saw a weak man in camouflage raising his hand and greeting everybody in a very typical yet amateur Political way as I was waiting for my turn to vote in the queue. After a bit of recollection I recognized him, he was Surender Singh the AAP candidate for Delhi Cantt.

I knew about his heroics in the 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks and the plight he went through after it, I was excited .. thrilled, to be more precise.  I had the inner urge to talk to him but till the time I could think of my first words to start the conversation, he went past me and started meeting other voters in the queue. The queue was long and I was not in a mood to get out of it after being so close to the polling both. A bit clueless being a first time voter, I proceeded and registered my vote.

"Finally, I am a responsible citizen" the voice in my head said as I looked at the dark ink mark on my finger. I was heading home but I caught Surender Singh talking to some people just outside the election center. I had to talk to him, following my instincts I went up to him and even before I could think of saying something he spoke with a Haryanvi dialect, "Aur Bhai Daal Diya Vote ?". "Aapko hi diya hai .. abb nirash na karna" I replied with a chuckle. "Arey Sewa ka mauka to do aap" he said with his hand patting me on back and assuring me I voted for the right candidate.

Aam Aadmi Party Delhi Cantt

We were just some seconds in the conversation and it was hindered by a policeman , late in his 30s. "Oye yahan gate ke saamne khade mat ho .. chalo yahan se" shouted the man with a huge beer-belly. Surender Singh in a very calm and composite manner explained him "Bhai .. Main Pravakta hoon Aam Aadmi Party ka" to this the Inspector reacted a bit more angrily saying "Koi Bhi ho .. chalo yahan se , Duty karne do hume", the retired Commando very humbly said ,"Chalo bhai haat rahe hai" and moved aside.

Its been five days, the new candidate defeated the mighty Karan Singh Tanwar and is now the ruling the Delhi Cantonment Constituency for Aam Aadmi Party. The man who fought bravely for 14 years in wars and operations like Kargil War, Operation Parakram, Operation Sadbhavna and Operation Black Thunder was freed of his duty when he was injured by an enemy grenade, losing his hearing ability.

The man who was nothing a few days ago has now got everybody's attention, the party name justifies the representatives of its, it would be really interesting to watch that policeman coming face to face with Surender Singh now , the "Aam Aadmi" turned VIP.
